Lift an ale to Denton
Two scrappy young men – Bobby Mullins and Yianni Arestis – went from being beer enthusiasts to serious home brewers. With a grant from the University of North Texas and a Kickstarter.com campaign that has raised $34,002, Armadillo Ale Works is an emerging young business that specializes in ales.
And it’s not just a business story, either. The pair of entrepreneurs has intentions of distributing its product in local bars – where local musicians build their careers – and restaurants. And both Mullins and Arestis are supporters of the Denton indie music scene and the artistic commerce that surrounds it. They keep their supporters updated on the company Facebook page and at the official site, www.armadilloaleworks.com.
Now that the business partners have the first phase of their business plan under way, they soldier on to a small plant to make their beer.
Denton’s pint glasses are empty in anticipation.
