Armadillo Ale Works™ Ambassador Program

We are beginning our 2013 internship program that will run from June-December. We are looking for a few passionate people to come on board to learn the inner-workings of professions in the craft beer industry. These are un-paid internships, meant to be purely educational experiences. Check out what we’re looking for below and send your resume to info@armadilloaleworks.com. Brewing Ambassador (15-20 hrs/wk)

Prerequisites:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Must love craft beer!

  • Must be a resident of the DFW area
  • Must be able to lift approximately 50-55 lbs

  • Must be comfortable getting covered in beer, yeast, & sweat. This is dirty work.

  • Experience in homebrewing a plus, but not required.

Description:

  • Ambassador will train under Head Brewer and gain experience in production brewery operations

    • Learn how to produce beer on a commercial level

      • Ambassador will be trained how to brew beer on a professional level

      • Learn critical steps to maintain quality and consistent beer

    • Manage beer from tank to package

      • Take daily specific gravity readings on fermenting beers

      • Harvest and maintain yeast brinks

      • Clean and sanitize beer tanks

      • Ensure proper carbonation levels

      • Clean and sanitize kegs

      • Package beer in kegs

      • and more!

    • Research and Development

      • Create a new beer recipe for commercial production

      • Research new and interesting beer ideas

Required duties:

  • Assist Head Brewer with daily production tasks

    • tasks will vary depending on production schedule

  • Attend weekly meetings

  • Attend and assist in brewery events

Account Ambassador (15-20 hrs/wk)

Prerequisites:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Must love craft beer!

  • Must be a resident of the DFW area ( Austin and Houston will be considered as well )
  • Experience in sales and/or customer service a plus, but not required.

Description:

  • Ambassador will train under Sales Manager and gain experience in account relations in the craft beer industry

    • Learn how to develop and manage account relations

      • Ambassador will be trained how to gain and maintain accounts

      • Learn valuable customer service skills

    • Assist in sales and promotions

      • Make account visits

      • Acquire new accounts

      • Assist in product promotions

      • and more!

    • Event planning

      • Plan a promotional event with an account

      • Brainstorm new event ideas

  • Ambassador will gain experience in managing social media for business.

    • Learn valuable skills for growing an online presence for a brand.

    • Learn how to use social media outlets for business such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.

Required duties:

  • Assist Sales Manager

  • Visit assigned accounts and manage relations

  • Attend weekly meetings

  • Attend and assist in brewery events
